Volv ("we", "us", "our") operates a mobile application and website (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Age Restriction

The Service is strictly limited to individuals aged 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account Data

Name, Email address, Profile picture, Authentication data (Google login if used)

3.2 Health and Body Data (Sensitive Data under GDPR)

We collect:

• Body photographs uploaded by you
• Height, weight, body fat percentage
• Fitness goals
• Workout logs
• Nutrition and diet logs
• Progress tracking data

This data is considered special category (health) data under GDPR and is processed only with your explicit consent.

3.3 AI Processing Data

We process user-submitted data, including images, to generate:

• Fitness recommendations
• Nutrition plans
• Body analysis and insights

3.4 Usage Data

App interactions and feature usage, Session duration, Device information (OS, model, browser type), Error logs and analytics data

3.5 Payment Data

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details. We may receive: Subscription status, Payment confirmation, Last 4 digits of card (if available)

4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

We process data under:

• Explicit consent (health data + AI processing)
• Contract performance (service delivery)
• Legal obligations (tax/accounting)
• Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention)

5. AI Processing

We use third-party AI providers (including OpenAI) to process user data.

• Images may be sent in full resolution for analysis
• Data is used only to generate outputs and insights
• Data is not used to train third-party AI models
• Processing is limited to service functionality

6. Data Storage

Data is stored on secure servers located in Germany (EU).

Security measures include:

• Encryption in transit (TLS)
• Encryption at rest
• Access controls
• Monitoring systems

7. Data Retention

• Active accounts: stored while the account is active
• Deleted accounts: removed within 30 days
• Backups: retained for up to 30 days (encrypted)
• Legal records: retained as required by law

8. Data Deletion

Users cannot delete individual images separately. Users may delete their entire account, which removes all associated data.

9. Data Sharing

We share data only with:

• Cloud hosting providers (Germany/EU servers)
• Stripe (payments)
• OpenAI (AI processing)
• Email/notification providers
• Analytics and monitoring tools

We do not sell personal data.

10. International Transfers

Data may be processed outside your country via service providers. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

11. Subscription & Billing

The Service includes:

• 1-day free trial
• Automatic subscription renewal after trial
• Monthly and quarterly plans

Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and the user will be charged.

All payments are non-refundable once processed.

12. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data
• Correct your data
• Delete your account
• Withdraw consent
• Restrict processing
• Data portability
